Jane Austen (1775-1817) is the author of several classic works of English literature, among them Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, Lady Susan, and Sandition. She lived in England during the Georgian and Regency periods, and was a well-known, if anonymous author even in her day. Now, she is one of the most famous writers in the English language, with nearly all of her works having been adapted for film and/or television, and beloved by millions all over the world.
Gwendolyn Dash (*mumblemumble*-present) owes Jane Austen everything. She first fell in love with Austen’s work when she was a teenager, and read Pride & Prejudice for the very first time. She came of age in a glorious time for Austen, when lavish, large-budget productions of her work were sweeping through Hollywood and the BBC. She’s been writing her own takes on Austen for many, many years, and is happy to finally be able to share them with an audience who loves Darcy as much as she does.
